Biography of Martin Kirk

Martin was born and raised in Tennessee. He attended high school in South West Virginia and received a Bachelors in Science (Electrical Engineering) from the University of Tennesee. He spent five years with Eastman Kodak in Tennessee as a research engineer designing test equipment for chemical research labs. He then took a position with Sperry Space Systems where he aided in the design of the payload signal processor for the Space Shuttle. This signal processor facilitated communication between items in the cargo bay of the shuttle and the shuttle's onboard computer. He transferred to the commercial flight division of Honeywell, where he spent a total of seven years. At Honeywell, he designed prototypes of liquid crystal display flat panel displays for the Boeing 777 and then supervised the group in charge of display development.

Martin is currently attending Arizona State University, where he is working towards a master's degree in bio-medical engineering. His thesis is a cellular automaton simulation of immune cell interactions. He also has worked with Yves designing the "pod."
